Out- and indoor fencing, wall decoration, screens and gates.
Corten (Weathering steel) steel is very popular in gardens and is
often used for art in public spaces. The advantage of Corten steel
is that it doesn’t perishes but after a thin layer of rust the corrosion
stops. Therefore, you can endlessly enjoy these unique artworks.
Steampunk
Sphere Lamp Collection.
For creating these extraordinary lamps I use recycled expansion tanks
from heating systems.
Steampunk Variety Collection.
For these smaller Steampunk pieces, I use all kinds of recycled materials
such as copper, brass and steel. Hereby I search for special shapes
and combine these objects together.
Steampunk
Alchemy Project.
With this project I wanted to create One Of A Kind Art with a true
story to tell. Therefore I like to call them Conversation Pieces.
SteamBugs.
In these Alchemy versions I use small insects and other small animals
such as larvae’s, insects and fetuses. The main differences between
the regular Alchemy pieces and these smaller versions is not oly the
size but also the absence the typical carbon filament lamps.
SteamTools.
Steamtools are urban decoration pieces made of antique tools with
all kind of handcut designs using a plasma cutter. Fun as nameplates
at your front door but also awesome as a piece of art on a wall. All
kinds of designs are possible but still limited by the size of the
tool. It's also possible to make a base or a socle on which the tools
can be displayed.
Recycling waste of our industrial society is
the inspiration of our artworks.
I create art with technology to soften the design despite the roughness
and robust properties of the material. This creates art with a respectful
atmosphere and sometimes funny or even cynical view of reality.Under
the name Steampunk we create art that’s also useful. This relates
in most cases to special designed lamps. It is not by chance that
our lamps are artistically designed but we reverse the principle consciously!
It is art that happens to give light. Steampunk should not be translated
literally but was originally a term that goes back to the pioneers
of science fiction and founders of innovative thinking like Mark Twain,
Mary Shelley, and for many of you know, Jules Verne.
The art is, however, only at the moment that it is perceived, and
when it brings about a sense or an imagination evokes. `
